Yeah we all know it’s not his son, but he never chased them out of the palace which means they’re still there. If his purpose was just that then that’s a super weak side plot/character reveal since we all knew that. I was hoping there’d be some political intrigue because he never officially said it wasn’t his son so I thought there would be people wanting a boy to take over the empire as the heir.
