Idk why ya’ll are so surprised. He didn’t really see him as his dad since Tristan has liked wren since he was younger and they have no blood relation. It’s gunna be a bit embarrassing and shy for him to see wren like that but he’s very loyal to Ethan so I doubt he will cross that line. Also the people saying why are they so touchy, that’s how they were like in the past. They didn’t have much boundaries with physical contact. In the past Tristan liked wren and wanted to be together, but a lot of things have happened since then and the past is the past and now he’s with Ethan. I do think some boundaries need to be drawn up because Ethan doesn’t feel comfortable with Wren like that over Tristan. But it looks like Wren might have also harboured feelings for him in the past/current and they have a conplicared relationship. Theres actually a phenomena of parents or siblings who have been separated from birth and meet each other again tend to develop feelings for one another. It’s called genetic sexual attraction. Also look up westermarck theory. It’s why siblings are needed to grow up with one another to decrease the chance of them growing incestuous feelings. There’s also studies from Freud about Oedipus complex. Incest is more common than you think. Some people don’t regard adoptive parents/siblings as an incestutous relationship (step-daughter) because they’re not related, but some will be very against it. In some religions and cultures it’s also permissible to marry cousins. Royalty used to practice incest as well to keep the royal bloodline pure within the family. Theres many other cases of incest. It’s also an interesting subject to write and discuss about. It’s why you see it in notable books/tv series like game of thrones. So much incest is in that show but people love to watch it, and the tumultuous incestous relationships in the show adds to the chaos and is the driving force behind a lot of the characters actions. Sometimes you have to differentiate between fiction and non fiction as well. I think mangas like these are a good way to explore controversial topics like incest and show the psychology behind such relationships whether healthy or unhealthy.
