What’s with the people thinking Jo is gunna go psychotic because he showed jealousy. Well duh he has feelings for Ian and wanted to be in a relationship with him it’s normal to feel jealous if Ian has a thing with someone else. It just makes Jo human? I’m glad that he’s showing emotions like this instead of being a selfless puppet. It would be weirder if he didn’t show any jealousy. We’ve all experienced jealousy like that at some point and realising those feelings are a good step towards understanding your emotions. I like Jo because he’s quite a realistic, grounded character in contrast to chaos of mafia plot that is going on.

I knew the comment section would be a shitfest when season 2 started. I saw the raws previously and knew shit was about to go down but now that’s it’s finally getting translated I’m not even surprised there’s fan wars going on in the comments and people losing their mind. It’s a love triangle so there’s obviously going to be ship wars for their favourite ML’s.
Everyone has a favourite and so do I, but aside from that, s2 actually made me dislike Ian as a character which I never thought would happen. It’s still early but I don’t see much progress in the story considering it’s a new season.
I’m still deciding whether to continue reading this or drop it since I really hate love triangles, and knowing ian will go back and forth for 4 seasons would make me rip my hair and and lose patience. Surprisingly the hate and fanwars here are quite passable compared to other platforms especially Twitter and Tiktok. I think it's gonna take 3-4 years for the manhwa to complete. The will be a progress in the plot and characters in upcoming chapters. I can understand the frustration but don't drop the story yet.
The story has a lot of potential but I don’t think i have the patience for it since it’s super slow and will be sad if the character I like doesn’t get their happy ending. And yeah this site is actually where I feel okay to share my opinions and thoughts on my favourite characters and talk. I haven’t really interacted with the TikTok side but I do know twitter side get very loud and defensive about their ML’s. I don’t like to even go on the wet sand hashtag since it’s usually filled with tjian smut which I dislike so I avoid that too. Right now I’m just following the story from twitter leaks and seeing what’s happening there.
I have been saying this since the story was published. It really has a greater potential of becoming one the best story-telling manhwa in general ''if'' it was done correctly. Slow paced stories it builds in complexity and dimensionality which is a must a for a story like Wet Sand. Doyak's story and vision is too big for readers. Correct this is the only side where you can freely talk about your favourite characters without being ... you know. You about to see the character and plot development very soon so be patient.
Does anyone know if Anubis and Isis will be a side couple? I find them interesting and they seem to be linked a lot together.

I don’t think the professor is a good person for him. The fact that the seme is becoming more violent and obsessive is scary. He's not being interrogated. He was sharing his relationship with the professor to a psychiatrist. Probably getting some help and medication from all his traumas and shit.

I liked the story but I think the whole revenge thing is too far fetched. I just thought it’s a bit much for yeonjin to do all this and then kill himself as a sort of fuck you to his father. It wasn’t his fault as a kid what happened and I think cha wookung’s words would apply to him in the sense of not be involved with adult affairs and just be a kid. He overwhelmed himself with getting his revenge that even if he didn’t kill himself he still lost 8 years of his life with munhyeok and it’s a sacrifice that seems unnecessary. He should’ve taken the route his wife did of leaving and living her life with her sons. Obsessing over revenge and payback is just the downfall of these two main characters. They wasted these 8 years of being together for the sake of one lousy character. It’s better to detach yourself than to drown and be swept along. That’s just my take on it personally.

I am with you, both characters and motivations were severely underdeveloped. all elements were there, but nothing was really done with them. so it felt like those pieces of personal history were just kinda there and did nothing. therefore, everything that happened was kinda disconnected from the original character motivation, personal history, and story drivers...and then 8 years later they were kinda living ok, despite all that trauma and the desire to die and disappear??? really???? math is not mathing... yet, it could have been better developed, we can all see it.
I’ve read some of the raws and the seme seems to be becoming as messed up as the professor. He starts to have violent thoughts and nightmares which scares him. Also from recent raws, professor has a stashed photos of his ex and seme finds out and gets angry. Their relationship seems to be spiralling. It’s just pretty toxic overall. I don’t have a good feeling about the professor personally. He’s probably using the seme to fulfill his s/m fetish. He needs a therapist. I usually like dark psychological BL’s but this couple makes me uncomfortable.

Yeah there’s literally no going back from this. I’ve read a lot of toxic yaoi’s but one of my biggest no no’s is cheating. It just disgusts me. No matter how much smut the manwha will have I will just feel repulsed when I see cheating. Yoonho absolutely needs to end it with the teacher and find happiness elsewhere. The teacher will only drag him down and make the relationship toxic. The sadist ML is such an asshole. I thought he would be an okay character since he seemed mature at the beginning and kept to himself but suddenly did a 180 and started fucking the mc and messing with yoonho’s head. Honestly both the sadist and Mc deserve one another since they’re toxic themselves. Luckily at the beginning of the chapter we saw him talk to a therapist about his messed up relationship with the teacher so there’s tiny hope but after seeing the latest raw chapter I feel so bad for him. He looked so devasted and hurt by what shitty sadist said to him. He was already having trust issues and suspicions before but it just got confirmed and ruined any hope and love he saw in the teacher. It’s really disgusting for the teacher to say I love you and wanting to be in a committed relationship and then cheat behind that person’s back. I feel happy watching sense prevail here. Otherwise so many times people just excuse a character's disgusting action or even cheating just because they seem pitiful or have trauma. We must not forget that having trauma isn't a licence to traumatize others. This is specially true for bottom characters because people just baby them. It's truly disgusting when I see it. Yes authors tend to make these bottoms promiscuous, cheating or just right down toxic but the tops have to always stay loyal to the bottom and never venture off.
