I READ THE FIRST 3 PAGES AND THOUGHT, "oh, i've read it before but let's recap." AND I ANTICIPATING BUT THEN -- i hate my dumb-dumb self.
reading this in the morning when i just woke up and almost crying BECAUSE GOD, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. this is so good, what the heck. but pleeeaaase, don't let lei (???) cause //too// much trouble.
BECAUSE I HAD TO DISCOVER AND READ IT BEFORE IT'S COMPLETE AND SUFFER ALL OF THIS WAITING. but i love this so much, i'll wait for it and read all of the updates. it's so cute and so fluffy, it gets my mood back up so quickly.
ALSO !! does anyone else think that this 'baron' person is also the unknown 'head of demons' introduced in one of the very first chapters?
first off, i'm not saying i defend lucaon's actions 100%, that he's not to be blamed, that he isn't acting like an asshole, etc., but i am going to defend him by saying he's not 100% of an asshole.
i don't know about you, but i've seen a lot of relationships to understand lucaon's possessiveness towards kyon. he isn't hostile towards kyon, and he isn't exactly "using" him or "treating him like shit". no, lucaon isn't doing that. what lucaon is doing is pushing kyon to his limits; probably beyond it, even. lucaon is testing kyon. lucaon is hurting kyon, whilst hurting himself, to see if kyon will stay.
i know most people would say that that isn't right, but, well, you need to understand that people like lucaon do exist and they're not all that bad. i know because i tend to be someone like lucaon myself. i tend to test my partners so much, i admit some have gotten tired of me because of it -- and i end up testing my next partner even more because of that. why? because we don't believe in ourselves enough. and lucaon doesn't seem to have much of his pride and self-esteem, or realization of his self-worth much anymore. he's putting up a facade. i know, being an asshole doesn't make you look cool, but if being an asshole can save you from losing yourself in someone too much, you would do it. if you've went through enough pain, you would.
and trust me. kyon? he's confused, i bet he can understand lucaon's actions a bit. i bet he knows what's up a bit. but because he's not lucaon, he can't really do much. and he loves loves lucaon too much. this is also where i sympathize with kyon. no matter how much lucaon hurts him, he will still stay by lucaon's side. all because he loves him. ridiculous, unhealthy, yes, but these relationships do exist, they are real, and they are not as unhealthy as you think they may be.
finally. lucaon seems to be letting his guard down a lot for kyon. i mean, giving him a weapon that could end his life after his parents' horrendous death? he might not remember, but he did allow kyon to sleep in his bed. beds are a comfort zone, some people don't allow just anyone on their bed. lucaon's one of those people. and let's not to mention his hints of jealousy towards logan, ryan and sihan.
i am sorry, but nobody need to accept such a behaviour. He have a traumatic past, ok. So it is more understandable, but isn't there a limit? I am sorry, as a lover i don't have to humiliate myself in order to make the other belive in me. How much can someone demand from another in orher to fulfill his selfishes requestes?
I can sympathize with him because of his past, but this is not normal, this is not ok. This is abusive. And i think everybody can walk away someone with such a behave.
Well said. I kind of think that Lucaon let Kyon keep the weapon to defend himself if Lucaon ever fully turn evil. I think Lucaon worries about loving Kyon because if Lucaon ever looses someone he loves again, he'll probably turn. Also, I think it's important to notice that Kyon still actively pursues Lucaon, not to "blame the victim", but to give Kyon credit for being more than a victim. Kyon should be treated better--but Kyon is going after what he wants.
i respect your opinion and view on this topic, as it is quite sensitive and it's hard to understand and relate to.
i agree that there is indeed a limit to everything, but in this case, kyon's limit hasn't been reached yet, and kyon himself seems to be too in love to walk away. sometimes it's not the issue of being able to walk away, it's the issue of not being able to stand to walk away. and kyon's too in love to ever leave lucaon.
i agree with you. i had the same theory as to why lucaon never asked for the weapon back. i mean, he's been betrayed so horribly before when he trusted his servants in the past as an innocent adult. anything should be possible in lucaon's point of view now, but he cares and loves kyon enough to allow him to hold the weapon. so yeah.
i can see how you're not blaming kyon, it's okay. i actually personally know some people like him, and currently maybe i am one like him, but yeah. kyon's merely pursuing the person he loves, and i doubt he can leave him so simply, especially after having been through so much.

1. so, i guess in some way, his twin brother had //some// reason to hate siwon because it seemed like siwon was the one who used to be the better twin and he was not -- and it seemed like siwon was more important to everyone else than him? in some aspects, i guess he was inexplicably jealous or stressed and hated siwon for that?
