I observed the supposed nonsensical comparisons and initially, I could not find that which everyone else claims to see. However...after further and thorough analyses...I, too, cannot unsee what has been sought.
Anyways, I really love Astina’s whole person. This character really is quite eccentric and unalike any of the other “badass female leads” I’ve met. Her natural austerity and blunt coolness is girl crush material. On the other hand, Duke Thereodore is so kawaii!

I just want Addie and Mary living comfortably, peacefully, and happily in a little fancy cottage upon a flower field and a fence of trees that shed leaves. They’d have no servants and together they’d rake leaves together into a pile only to ruin it and repeat. The abundance of tea they’d have stashed in the cupboards and the cozy carpets heating up by the fireplace.

LOL the shopping boxes
A guest finds a seat in their living room, enamored by the delicate and simple arrangement of comfort and warmth. When the fireplace crackles, they notice a three-tiered tower of boxes in the corner.
“Sir, what are those boxes?”
Addie: “boxes...?” *MAJOR GASP*
Mary: “Oh...those boxes. You see, you mustn’t look at that shameless corner otherwise you’ll catch his per–”
*Addie covers her mouth* “Mary!! It! Is! Nothing BUT! An inconspicuous pile of old memories...” *nervous laugh*
The guest glances between the two, adoring the familiarity/intimacy between Mary and Addie, paying no more mind to the boxes.

Wolfgang, you saved more lives than you have taken. In the sewers of your heart and the trenches in your head, you lose faith in your strength by the number of lives you could not save. But here, presented in front of you through their hard work, is a child you rescued. Though I’m sure that there was doubt that this child would live even after his efforts, here she is.
And Shin...I hope there comes a day in which you receive your much needed and long awaited days of guiltless pampering and spoiling. Not only by His Majesty but by you as well.
Yay for the update! I’ve begun reading the more NSFW/mature continuation of The King’s Maker season two. And, oh my, oh myyyy. So many good details ; )
I like Aideen. This character appears and almost perfectly embodies confidence, strength, the “almost ideal badass FL”. Though she has her own history and yes, it’s her second chance at life but I think that this dignity is still a remnant of her previous self. I’m glad that she’s focused all of herself on this new future where her loved ones are safe. However, I do look forward to seeing her face hardships. I think a great character like her needs to overcome challenges that not only hinders her familial goals but as well as her “love life”.
And this crown prince. I hope that the author doesn’t just *BOOM* instantly in love with each other. I like how on-guard, distant Aideen can be towards guys or any “love interests” but she is still a young woman. I like that Dion is annoying but in a somewhat endearing way. I feel that he is just a curious child looking for fun and happened to stumble upon “fun” in the shape of Aideen.
