all things considered rn the guy she trusts and treasures more than anyone in this gorgeous list of MLs is him. the others start as mere tools for her to stabilize the throne. except he's also the only one with the insurmountable barrier of "bffs"

it's so bittersweet man, this is my 2nd ML kink coming into play. i don't like 2nd MLs bc they're nice or a healthier choice or whatever boring woke vanilla BS- the time i truly invest in 2nd MLs is when we get a clear picture of exactly how deep their unrequited devotion goes. redhead gets an 8/10 on the angsty pining scale for me. possible betrayal from him only makes the scenario more spicy.

i also had a split second of an angsty w|w fic daydream when she was being carried all gallantly by blondie like can you imagine??
carrying someone in your arms- someone you love and respect & would die for, after she spent a night with the man who's always given her nothing but pain, and you could do nothing but let it happen and pick up the pieces the morning after?

tbh seems like regardless of species, the actual assholes are the ones at the top

and tbh this is really rare for me, i only read these type of plots for the shenanigans inb4 they express mutual feelings, the push and pull and misunderstandings- i really really love that. and ultimately when they confess and get together, my interest decreases by 50%

BUT THIS ONE HAS ME FEELING SO MUCH
i wager that even when they start dating, it has so much more potential for comedy and sweet stuff

also rhe bros and the dad joining in is meh
still won't make up for a lifetime of abuse & neglect imho
