In most stories
evil bitch: beautiful (sometimes more than the FL) loved or feared by most.
What we saw here was
A bitch: average look, only has one purpose not important to the rest of the story.

As you see as soon as she did what was needed, she got killed off. She didn’t matter that much. Her purpose was to get the FL kidnapped and created a bridge between ML and FL.

Also the FL is far from being fragile, remember that her tongue, legs and arms were cut off. Yet she still managed to cast a magical spell by bleeding out the rest of her tongue...fragile and delicate???

Just because she doesn’t bare a sword or know how to fight physically, it does not mean she’s fragile. She can destroy kingdoms, and make kings. She has POWER. If people knew her value, she would be kidnapped endlessly.

Yes, that was indeed the purpose of that disposable one dimensional stock character.

I also see Tia as very resilient and powerful in her own way.

But the way she was framed once the two tall prideful adonis guys starting fighting/trying to kill each other to get the price/princess...

I just personally didn't like that tropey direction.

I have yet to see the direction it's going. The red head remembers the past future/future past after all.. Idk, I still wonder what his role will be. Since he is an obvious madman (let's be honest, the shadowing on his face.. He's drawn as a villain not 2nd lead)

This is such a shit take in my opinion.
If you thought Aubrey was ugly, then that’s just your opinion and perceptions of beauty because she by NO MEANS WAS NOT unconventionally pretty. She checks all marks for what being conventionally pretty is, she just probably looked ugly to you because of her ugly attitude.

A girl being kidnapped does not suddenly mean there’s a trope.. this is a clear unprecedented event to further the ML’s character growth, he quite literally shattered his old ideas about loyalty for the sake of Tia, this is not a standard trope to get a meaningless hug and kiss from the FL.

And the worst take of all was saying that Tia is weak and delicate. Desirable? YES, she’s quite literally extraordinary in every way and extremely capable without having stupid FL super powers. But weak and delicate? She mustered severe abused for the sake of her maternal family’s success and did so with her own power, which she was not GIVEN AT ALL. Tia had to prove her worth to her family in order to seem useful, and was tortured for it.. idk about you and or anyone else but that doesn’t sound like a weak person. But I could agree that she is delicate, she is a soft person and sensitive when it counts.

Overall, your post was a massive L.

You shouldn't take this plot too seriously or feel too offended because of some other opinions that might threaten/challenge your well-invested view/love for the characters + the story.

You don't want to communicate reasonably with me but rather insult and win against me by all means.

I will agree that it's too cruel for a father to know his beloved son wants to kill him but I do think they deserve it.
Johannes as we all know is a total asshole that cannot be saved, death is his best ending but his parents are no better, they are just like him, they only care about their son and themselves, they are not ordinary people they are Rulers and they need to think about their empire and considering all that I have learnt about their character, it makes me wonder how the hell does that empire still exists!?
And the fact how miserable both of them make Rebecca feel makes me very very acceptable of this ending.

I just didn't expected Arth to be that machiavellian...

Really, actually I expected Arth to do something like this, I mean he is kind but only to Sasha and her friends whom he has come to love, he is very very rational and can manipulate people to get the job done, definitely don't want him as my enemy (≧∀≦) and since we see his sweet side all the time we forget that.

And haven't watched that series, so I have no idea, sorry ╥﹏╥

One more thing:

I ve been thinking and I realized that Arth is still a fair decent sympathetic character. Even though he had to use this underhanded cruel method/scheme, his targets are asshole who really deserves it.
And I like that we see a scene where he feels intimidated by Rebecca getting dark.
It shows us he isn't that of an overpowered mastermind.

Arth is still better than the ML Prince Tyrant Dylan from "I Tamed a Tyrant and Ran Away". That darkhaired ML is so multitalented, overpowered, goodlooking and priveledged enough that I can't relate to. I still can't sympathize with his shallow sad backstory that he is the 13th prince, has a beloved poor mistreated mother and that he is so lonely + bored because he is a hidden genius.
In the first timeline he ruled the empire in the shadows.
In the second timeline the FL made him into the perfect tyrant who unexpected only simps obsessively for her.
What crossed the line is that he ordered his men to brutally kill the entire family of a spy that he also tortured for the sake of his FL and that he turned his scum father into the same thing immortal sword thing when the FL Charlize was once in the original timeline, instead of letting her to kill him.
The FL was very horrified since she knows the horrors being immortal and forever trapped in a sword. Then she rans away, ML finds her some years later, somehow bond together and face a greater enemy together from another country who gave the formular of turning people into unbreakable magical sword to the shit emperor. And there is the devoted 2nd ML who came out from nowhere and it was revealed he was the only one who actually cared for the FL in the original timeline.
I was interested in the story because I like the idea that a mistreated daughter abandoned + getting revenge on her patriarchal patronizing family.
But then I realize how glamorized, pretentious and melodramatic this story is.
The characters are so shiny beautiful, grand, inhumane, larger than life etc...
I don't care about their problems anymore.

My recommendation about more relatable unusual interesting FLs breaking free from a toxic family:

The Peerless Alchemist (Yes, she is op but very engaging, has two animals/mounts gay for each other + a male waifu), Beware of the Villainess, The Monster Duchess & The Contract Princess, Untouchable Lady and The Way to Protect the Female Lead's Older Brother.
And there is no brooding dark haired superior tsundere stalker ML with a torture past where the FL has to rely on to survive/succeed by charming him/satisfying his ego!!!

Those recommendations you gave, are perfect I totally love those and peerless alchemist is one of those Chinese manhwa's that will not disappoint you, I'm so glad it's being updated again.

And Dylan is ok but the only reason I still love that webtoon is Charlize, I'm a major simp. But relatable, not very much.
And this is what makes villainess's pet very very special, every one of the main characters are made so so well and they are so relatable, they have their struggles and problem, not something exaggerated and dark which they overcome in such a natural manner and you can see their character development like none other webtoons, I absolutely love it. And when you reread this webtoon you can understand even better how beautiful their inter person relationships are.
And about Arth's genius I'm totally agreeing with that too, he has come to understand love, his cruel side is only for the corrupt and has done everything solely for the happiness of all the people that deserve it.

Arth is really unconventional and a real ambitious self-reflective underdog!

The Pet of the Villainess also show us the importance of female friendships/womance and not the cliche plot of evil jealous dumb bitches fighting over a man.

Even though I also wish that Rebecca and Sasha can be either a loving same sex couple or a pply throuple with Arth, Rebecca being satisfied being single, becoming a duke and staying in a close platonic loving relationship with Sasha - her liberator.

I can feel you, I love it when the ML is a sweetheart, a cinnamon roll from the start and even if he is a tyrant, gives basic respect to humans, that's my fav and I love Arth for that.

Yes, this webtoon does a great job at that, no 3rd woman coming between the main couple being a bitch, most of them are so supportive of each other, I absolutely love that, this webtoon is the epitome of positive energy and relationship.

And I wanted Rebecca x Sasha ending too, like that was the best ship ever for this webtoon, though I absolutely adore arth I can't love him more than Rebecca, she deserved Sasha so much but her decision of being the heir is absolute amazing and I hope she doesn't end up with anyone, I feel it will be a little forced, she can marry whomever in the future but an ending with a strong Duchess Rebecca out their kicking new knight recruits ass would be the best(≧∀≦)

I'll add that in my watch list, thanks, I love stories like that, love endings are nice but a ending where love isn't always required is great too.
