I can already guess the whole storyline without looking at novelupdate spoilers...
Anyone who already read a lot of this genre can guess the spoiler:
Her distant cold neglectful husband the ML actually likes/loves her but he was blackmailed/threatened by someone who hates the FL... Very likely a blood relative the patriarchal scum cousin, sister or brother or father...
And the ML is of course an illegitimate child hated by a jealous evil bitch. His shitty father is always blameless and doesn't care... And there is always a hateful half-brother...
You all heard this soapy story background before. I guess this reincarnation romance drama plot has been so overreused/oversatuared just like any K-Dramas or telenovelas.
If only the ML husband communicated and was actually honest with her in the original timeline... But the characters have to be soap opera stupid.
And everytime the wife dies a terrible death and gets rewind, the pathetic husband is for some absurd reason suddenly stronger, smarter, kinder and more determined in the second timeline...Now you are supportive?! This logic always bothers me.
I spontanously read some chapters and while I am a male Asian with mental health issues + some victim mentality due to my sad past and who can relate with this protagonist... That story isn't healthy to my mind.
I noticed that edgy psychological horror stories about a nice young japanese guy becoming a murderer for revenge the female characters are plot devices or just canon fodders. Other examples: A Falsified Romance, The Devil's Boy (female victim/love interest turns out to be suggestive demon in human disguise) and Massacre Happy End
The women/girls in this genre always are easily brutally abused, raped or murdered and almost all the men around the MC are all inhumane low life scum so the protagonist can go full on bloody vengeance. It is a trope, isn't it?
When I read this manga it only brings me darkness/messed up ideas and I completely forget the positive things in this world + all the progress I actually made in my life.
I hate bullies and I don't mind seeing them suffer/punished/dead but this messy storytelling is just too much and disgusting for me... ┗( T﹏T )┛
It doesn't entertain or help me at all, only feeding me wishful sadistic (sexual) violence revenge fantasies...
How come that the stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Lovecraft and Stephen Kings despite being so dark and scary are so cathartic to us readers?
I recently learned that every author is just showing his own world view and that their persepective isn't necessary the one true reality.
Correct me, if I am wrong but why do I get sometimes the impression that this manga Juujika no Rokunin comes off like misery rape porn(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Is this really a mature manga story???#-.-)
I learned more from the movie PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN.
I highly really recommend it. You can also just watch the reviews in YouTube.
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS
It is absolutely a trope, a tired ass misogynistic trope that actually has a name: It's called "fridging" and it happens waaaay too much to female characters in all media but it happens much more in Japanese psychological manga and I hate it a lot.
Honestly if you want a good psychological manga that actually treats its female characters as more than objects to sacrifice for a man's motivation you should check out Chi no Wadachi. I personally think that manga has some well written girls in it and it has not gone down the fridging route so far.
You re right! This is FRIDGING! It was never about the female characters but to feel more about the heterosexual oppressed damaged angry anti-hero!
I was so focused on Western Hollywood Media that I forgot that the Japanese Stories.
I remember watching these YouTube Videos:
#2 Women in Refrigerators (Tropes vs. Women) - Feminist Frequency
The Women in Refrigerators Trope, Explained - The Take
Thanks for the recommendation!
I read the light novel and this redeeming act/regretful exposition didn't happen at all!
Douglas is way less forgiving in the novel than in the manga.
Ravi never connected with sympathy to Alan.
Alan went into a coma and Sage was delivered by Douglas to the authorities.
Sage did not have any dignity left and behaved very pathetic.

It would have been a real satisfying consequence, if you just left that rotten delusional non blood related sister to her burning fate!
Where the hell get the ex-fiance the idea that the MC/FL will suffer more, if she burns to death??? Does she even still care about her whole shitty family?!
Just because you assume she is a pure hearted saint who will be sad over ther abusers/almost murderer???
It is very likely that this weak idiot will probably marry that scum and reform her...
The characters are just too nice and stupid.
While I understand that the MC has been abused, broken and traumatised for far too long, it frustrates me very much that she has no teeth at all and is a complete damsel in distress who needs to be recued very often...
And no big surprise: She has a hidden special valuable ability that makes her more of a target( ̄∇ ̄")
Abusive people in mangas like this are often easily forgiven or getting a big pass.
( ̄へ ̄)And if the MC is being mistreated by a family, it's often because she is either the unwanted/illegimate child or not the real biological daughter ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
In real life there is no ML who can save you. The abused victims must always take the initiative to save herself and make the decision to change/become stronger.
With a better determined attitude they more often will find the right people who can help them. It is a collaberation from both sides.
My favourite story where the female weak victim becomes so angry that she frees herself from her abusive toxic family and gets her justice/revenge:
"The Monster Duchess and The Contract Princess"

Why do authors always choose in so many romance stories the emotionlly unavaible immature prick as the Male Lead/Main Love Interest for the protagonist????????????
