But for some reasons that lowlife pathetic cheating prince and his hypcritical female accomplice/green tea bitch are so unbelievable ridiculous... Why do I find them these repetive overused Chinese archetypes too stupid?
After reading "Potion Tanomi de Ikinobimasu!" about a unapologetic sassy smartass female MC who challenges and changes successfully the monarchy and church system in her new world, I find the isekai story of "Kekkaishi e no Tensei" quite frustrating.
The author put his MC Kubota deliberately in a very miserable shitty situation, make him a subservient grateful anxious slave/subject to his noble masters, becoming attached to the people of the duke family and then the author suddenly kills them brutally off in front of the MC so he can become overpowered through escalating rage in shounen style. I found the sudden appearances of the cartoonish evil murderous tyrannical antagonists very strange who were then easily disposed by the angry MC.
Their sole purpose was to awaken his hidden power so he can become more stronger, darker, edgier and sad to attract oversexualized waifu characters on his journey.
Nothing attracts pretty female characters more than a powerful dark heroic protagonist with a messed up sad past.
That arc with the cartoonish villainous Duke was quite dumb.
In the end the father saved them and he was easily disposed.
If we remove that storyline, it wouldn't change the overall main story except that the twins wouldn't suffering physical and mental abuse terror again.
Some commentator in NovelUpdate Spoilers claimed that this stupid antagonist and his plotting wasn't even in the original novel...
