Story Quality over Quantity and that you don't need main characters showing off their ripped bodies during a rage battle like in any other shonen mangas.
I don't mind about Inosuke, he is too funny and cute ^^
Even though the story is finished, the franchise is still making money.
Can you imagine that the author/mangaka Koyoharu Gotōge would still tell/drag his story in the same lenght like Detective Conan, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, HunterXHunter (I am aware of his health problems) etc or never truly end the story like Dragon Ball Super...
because the playboy mermaid does slowly change for the better without the uke suffering tremendous pain!
I am so done with tragic mermaid stories.(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
And I am tired of shitty stupid MLs/Semes only changing for the better when the Uke/FL has endured lots of pain and suffering until it's unbearable.
Funny thing in many romance mangas/manwahs the Seme/ML is often the cause of the Uke/FL gratutious endless misery ( ̄へ ̄)
The playboy ML/Merman is much better and far less worse than the ML/entitled toxic manchild whiny fuckboy in "Gone with the bubbles"!!!!!!!!
Gosh! I really despise the absurd logic and borderline selfishness of Taeho who is also the childhood friend/first only love of the toothless tortured cursed Uke...
(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
My god that douchebag Taeho keeps making Eunwoo the mermaid uke suffer and cry for very stupid reasonsΣ( ̄□ ̄||)
You reject him more than one time, let him see various sex girlfriends during high school, he even slept once with a man when he saw Eunwoo from a distant living/enjoying his university life without him - also treated that helpful stranger like shit, you can't tell him any truth why he is doing all that shit, you barge in his work life even though he doesn't want to see you, you keep giving him mixed messages and bullies him, you can't stand that another man wants him or he might fell in love with another man for the first time and you can't be honest to yourself until its too late. He only changes for the better when the Uke/FL can't stand the suffering anymore and is almost gone for good...
Why the hell does that fucker gets rewarded and sympathy at the end??????
Well to make that seme heroic an antagonist ghost from the past has to appears so he almost sacrifices himself to protect the Uke and suffers three years loneliness until Uke miraculously comes back to him... I can't help to think that this narrative is quite manipulatively + wrong.
So you unintentionally/unconsciously make your love suffer for a very long time because you didn't want him to turn into a bubble or you denied your feelings for him... How about LETTING HIM GO?!
BUT couldn't you just be honest with him and actually help him in any productive ways???!!! And the author make the UKE so stupidly naive, soft, weak and a person who easily forgives anything...
I like Deep because I am so done seeing the tragic mermaid typeΣ( ̄□ ̄||)
Someone in NovelUpdate spoilt some main differences between novel and manwah/webtoon...

The balcony scene:
In Novel MC has suicidal thoughts because she asking herself why she should keep fighting even though nobody really wants or cares about her. Before she could even jump off the ML pulls her away. With tears on her face she had a quiet moment with the ML until she walks away.
In the WEBTOON she does not have any self doubts and was so very happy being badass that she was playing with the thought of reaching the top. She stretched up her arm to the stars and accidently almost fell off from the balcony until ML saves her. Feeling very embarassed she runs away very quickly from him.
So which version of the MC do you prefer:
The badass who is so sad and lonely that she wants to end her life or the badass who is a proud confident funny clumsy bitch???

tbh i actually like the sad version reason why is because she did some self reflection where she questioned her actions and there is more meaning behind him saving her rather then just an accident and the romance between them will only grow stronger because he saw her at a tough moment
I personally dislike some stories where the MC is just a badass and theres no real development life isn't always sunshine and rainbows you connect more with the character too because its just unrealistic if a person is always satisfied with what they do and somehow their scheme or plan worked out magically because they where that witty or smart.
If they made a mistake and own it and are able to rise to the top through trial and error that is something that is so magical to me because I can sometimes see myself in them or imagine how I would handle that situation.
Idk tho lol maybe im just rambling off but that was just my opinion
You nailed it.
I guess the manwah artist wantd to make it less dark and more upbeat than the original.
I get the impression that the MC in the Novel is much more calmer and her family members seems to be more fucked up. Ariel easily killed a former headmaid by letting her getting strangled by another maid and then let her corpse being chopped into pieces.
Do you think Melissa in "Beware of the Villainess" is too sunshine and rainbow?
Even if it is true, I can't stop idolizing the unapologetic bitch queen ^^
I think "The Pet Of The Villainess" is probably for you a good story about pain, trials, platonic love, empowerment and emancipation.
Or sth more feminist and realistic "Kingdom of the Queen"
lol thank you for my TED talk *bows*
and yea! I like Beware of the Villainess but its more of a form of escapism for me at least because if everything did work out perfectly like that hecc I am for it I guess its because all the characters are so fucking hot too QwQ
And I read Pet of the Villainess i dropped it a while back because I was just done lol and I wanted something like an unrealistic ending where all of em have a big old fuck pile just ship everyone together ( ̄∇ ̄") although I might pick it up again lol because I really love how the MC was practical
And I never heard of Kingdon of the Queen maybe i'll pick that up! Thanks! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

After being shamelessly badass bitchy in the social banquet The MC fell almost off the balcony because she was doing alone a victorious self-empowering gesture by reaching close the night sky stars... And of course ML saves her and feeling embarrassed she quickly runs away...
I don't know what I should think about this moment...
Maybe this should show us that MC is still an awkward flawed girl and not just a pure badass. But falling almost off from a balcony due to clumsyness is a very stupid cliche!
I recommend highly The Villainess Want to Marry a Commoner!! and The Lady's Butler
Can someone tell me why the hell author has to introduce suddenly a 2nd ML?????
For the readers would have been easier to accept the pairing of Charlize and Dylan, if Kahu didn't exists or didn't care for her at all!!!
It is now stated that he is the only one who really cared for the FL, was killed by the emperor for trying to find her and now has the memories of the past...
Of course, we would automatically prefer him over the perfect overtalented obsessive tyrant prince ML!

Why do these authors always pitting women against each other for a very stupid sorry excuse of a man?!
The sexual liberated woman as an evil gold digger and the virginal saintlike woman who is too passive and forgiving... They all become stupid because of a man!
That child derseves some punishment for almost killing the FL! Being abused is no excuse!
