Idk to me it just seems like he's just like that around the prince though. Also, no matter how high-ranking he may be, the prince is still at a higher rank than him, offending him can have dire consequences. He's probably attracted to the prince as well, hence why he's letting him get away with it.

I do understand that. I guess in general I don't prefer ukes with no backbone, lol. I like the "fierce kitten" types rather than the docile ones so this is just my own opinion mixed with sentiment.
