I probably started around your age, and I'm 22 now. It never really impacted me negatively in any way. At least in no way that I've noticed.

First, yaoi is restricted for sale to those under 18 because it contains adult themes and situations, as well as explicit depictions of sex. I would strongly oppose with the idea of watching or reading porn-like scenes at the age of 12. Maybe the way I think is not right, but for me, at that age, it can't be helped but getting influenced from them a lot more easily, or just 12 itself is too young for any kind of sexual activity.
