I was 8 years old when I first saw a glimpse of yaoi, but I haven't yet completely rendered what and why it was happening. In any case, I became conscious of it after a bit of research and I couldn't help but dig in a little further-- But to no avail, it was not a simple task, so I gave up immediately(since I didn't have my own computer)!! So...I'm one of the late bloomers here. I was already 22 when I discovered Junjou Romantica and Sensitive Pornograph and I was 25 when I read my first Yaoi manga, which is You're My Loveprize in Viewfinder. I don't really like watching Yaoi anime since many of the explicit scenes are omitted. lol   2 reply

My first anime was either Naruto or Lucky☆Star, when I was like ~7 because my friend's sister liked anime liked both of them so I went to their house quite often. Naruto was the first manga I ever bought, but I think the first one I ever started reading was Love Stage!! or Kuroko no Basuke   1 reply

Actually the first time I read yaoi I was 18 so it wasn't that surprising, I had already passed for the curiosity-about-male-anatomy age gap and referring to the gay part well I was experienced in the boy's love novels area so contrary to most of you it was a nice surprise to really can see in actual pictures what I could only imagine with the nov......   reply

I think I'm about the same as you. I'm OK with rape, incest, bdsm, necrophilia and things like that. For rape, I don't mind as long as it isn't one of those rape=love stories, where the person who has been raped is just like "oh he raped me because he loved me so it's ok." Things I HATE: -the things you said (apart from necrophilia, which I'm kind......   reply

I vaguely remember watching Shaman King and Digimon as Saturday morning cartoons. I loved them, but didn't know that they were anime. My first anime (that I knew was an anime) was Fruits Basket. It hooked me and I went looking for more. I'm really not sure on my first manga. I read a few chapters of Skip Beat! online before I really got into manga......   reply

Aaaah such an interesting question. About time for me to think about this. Hmm I would say I have a strong, open mind, so I can accept almost everything out there. And actually, always speaking about fiction of course, I do enjoy some fucked up shit I've read. BUttttt of courseeee there are exceptions. - I have some problems with Scat, too. I c......   1 reply

This brings me back memories, ahaaaa. My very first nickname in the net was... Kelpie, I think? All 'cause a Spanish metal band's song hahahaha. Some time later I found anime/manga forums and I went with "Gaia", because that band again... I was such a silly girl, all obsessed with them ahhaha. But I made some good friends and went all active in th......   reply

My first anime was probably either Sailor Moon or Pokemon. My first manga was actually a yaoi DJ of Togainu no Chi. I don't remember which one as I found it a long time ago but I do know it was a Shiki x Akira pairing.   reply

I'm pretty open when it comes to Yaoi but there are a few things I will not read and just aren't my cup of tea. Gangbangs (or anything more than a threesome), Scat, Dismemberment, necrophilia, and anything where one or both partners are middle school age or below. Also if the characters are too feminine it makes it hard to take seriously as a Yaoi.......   reply

I was very sickly white in my childhood, so my delightful friends called me "lab mouse" lol When I started High school I began playing more games and got addicted to Samurai Showdown Warrior's rage. I used Rinka (a character in the game) as a nickname in online forums, and for some reason, it stuck like glue to me. I even got a professor in colleg......   1 reply

Ohh this is a fun question to answer. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ My name has always been hard for people to pronounce, so eventually it got to the point where it was shortened, and I was simply called "Nami". It's basically become my real name now, and I like it quite a lot.   1 reply
