Gosh! This is just so beautiful. Short but frequent ch. in full color, and what looks like to be a great story too. Really what is there to complain about? In a perfect world the ch.s would be longer, but we all know this is not, nor has it ever been a perfect world, so getting this close to perfect is amazing.

I enjoy BL like so many other members on this forum, but that doesn't mean that I want everything to be BL. Sometimes the smex can get in the way of the story instead of helping it. Though the refs to BL in this story does confuse the issue a bit. I feel that the mangaka is deliberately being a bit vague and borderline, and will probably not be definite as to BL relationships between characters. Playing with readers expectations and being a bit of a tease on purpose (just my opinion).
But I like this exactly for that reason- a bit of a quirky vampire story without those obvious sex etc. plotlines.

I'm not sure what I said made you think that I was not aware of the difference, as I am. My comment was made with that difference in mind. What I was referring to was the actual reltionships between the characters themselves, and that the mangaka may leave that vague, borderline and undefined as well. In shonen ai while there may be no sex, you don't have to be in doubt of a couple's feelings or relationship status. So for the mangaka to possibly deliberately leave the matter vague, would be a tease. Not that I mind.

Well really! What over-reacting father, who feels there is only 1 way to carry on a family tradition. Obviously not. I'm sure Touma would have respected his Japanese heritage had the father been more respecting of his life choices, and combined both when he took over the store instead of outright rejection.
And as to Touma, he's being human, not really too nice about the relationship bit, but at least he got there in the end.
So I'll wait and see how this goes before I finally decide if enjoy it or not.
I really liked how the mangaka drew the characters. Freckles! But somehow the story seemed disjointed and wierdly paced, and suddenly done. I'm not sure why, as it had all the right elements, but they just didn't come together quite right for me. Maybe due the inclusion of the fairy, which, if you think about it, isn't really necessary.
This manga was originally serialized in QPA (a yaoi magazine) two years ago. I imagine she was feeling rushed on that account.
