I am so lost at the ending, like maybe I’m not but like… did she really HAVE to go go the goddess to ask her to keep her bully’s soul in this world? Like was she that much into her hater shit?
Honestly it would’ve been better if she put her on a reform program or some shit, it would’ve been funnier before she died of old age or some shit first and then returned to her world to live her life again.
But man she was a true hater, can’t blame her.
She stuck to her guns.
Like most people my complaint is on the brother, no mames, you have got to be kidding me. He has to be told off by his FL that leaving her with a prince who’s actively accosting her would make her idk… uncomfortable? Then he does so much stupid shit ALL YHE AU UP TO THE WEDDING?
He left her alone even on the fucking wedding day?!
Like I know he loves his friends and whatever friendship is magic, but MAN UR SISTER SUFFERED AND U COULD NOT EVEN BE THERE FOR HER WEDDING?
You could not have been a worse nice brother.
another completely minuscule gripe is the ML. NGL, it is fucking WEIRD that she was compared so much to her sister… like… let it go? Yes we as readers know they’re not the same and shit but the fact they’re drawn similarly and the fact they’re compared so often is just kinda… weird. It’s like the fact too her approached her cuz he was reminded of her that also kinda gives u the jibes.
But I’m real glad it wasn’t like a battle of the men and that there was one set love interest.
The emperor was so sweet and understanding (after the initial like 8 chapters) he’s like so good even if he nags her like a parent at times, but it’s so refreshing to see her struggle in a non useless way.
And by that I mean it’s not that she can’t do it, but there’s a reason she’s not doing it. She’s not physical stopped at the beginning and there’s nothing threatening her, so there’s no reason to push her and that’s also extremely refreshing.
Having her biggest OP be herself at first?
Chefs kiss
Anyway good read.
Yall r playing too much, I’ve seen worse criticism on stories where the ML misunderstand something for a sec, but this? This was too much.
Can’t believe she fucking ends up with him D: isn’t the best kind of lead the slightly obsessive one with a healthy way of backing up when they see it hurts? They shouldn’t have set it up like that then! Ughh… she should’ve ended up empress. By herself.
I know he’s changed or whatever but to not even let him fully know his crimes becuz you really can’t even glaze past what he did????
His crimes:
Neglected her, married another girl and made her second, basically borderline assaulted her, got her pregnant, this fucking other girl after months of saying she wanted to go home suddenly falls in love and they dump all the work on her, made her accidentally lose the baby, her dad rightfully got mad and then idk if he did do it but then his other wife got pregnant and dad made other wife lose the baby, he KILLS HER MF DAD, she doesn’t know this tho and she begs for his life and he MAKES HER grovel and kiss his shoe, he tells her he killed her dad and she rightfully crashes out and stabs him, and finally she gets executed.
CANT FORGET TO ADD THE ADDITIONAL CRIMES TO NON FL:
is actually obsessed with FL past her death, neglects her too, is a bum ass leader that gets killed, and she dies too.
Like look at that damn list, it’s so long and like… there’s no trust here no more. There shouldn’t be at least, if she was smart cuz wth.
I mean it’s an ok read, I liked it decently. He def had a harsh past but man he is ROUGH at first, and like v understandable considering how fucked his past is but goddamn.
I get we use villain as a loose term a lot of times but man.
Aside from that the FL also makes it seem like she hadn’t lived multiple lives before. It’s frustrating when they don’t behave like they have. She’s none the smarter or brighter for it. She’s just the same kind girl which ig could have been the point but like cmon.
I can say happily that if ur looking for a turn ur mind off, happy simple story this one is it. It’s not too simple that it’s boring, but it’s not extremely heavy. It’s got a good plot, not generic and the characters r really likable. Even the side romances r really enjoyable. And the ending lands as well.
9/10
Why does she think this mf is gonna kill her at every turn of the way? It’s like he’s clearly acting different and just becuz u think THINK u read it once at one point or another, doesn’t mean shit is the same.
AND IF SHE WENT THROUGH WITH IT she made everyone go through all this trouble to come back with him.
Like???
If he wanted u dead he would’ve killed u sooner, if he wanted to take advantage of u he would’ve done it sooner, but it’s like she can’t process it.
Either way, 6/10 it only gets bumped up cuz the story is cohesive and the art is pretty.
Felt very brand, almost like eating unsweetened yogurt or cereal. There’s plot there, clearly, but there was nothing driving it. So many plot holes, so many missing story lines, and the romance felt flat on its fking face.
Some person gripes: I hate when they place romantic interest like this too - this guy clearly willing to lay his life down for her cuz he had nothing prior.
Just like how she hated the other trope, I hate this trope - the servant-turned-romantic interest trope.
Either way it wasn’t well done, if ur gonna write something like that at least make it fun to read.
Another thing is that I hated her insistence, constant and all the time about how she NEEDS to see the story straight even though it’s clearly derailed. Maybe it’s her holding onto her sister IRL BUT HOW TF WOULD WE KNOW WHEN THEY DINT EXPAND ON IT? You only see her in mention??? And she doesn’t bring it up again.
Either way; point is it was disappointing.
Like r serious???? It was going so well - now I get those TikToks about plots going awry somewhere along the way. We lost it.
I mean it’s a lil confusing is the sense that like… honestly could’ve done without the sex in this. But aside from that the story was ok. I mean im not sure how to really put it, I give it solid 6.5/10.
it’s not that horrible - it’s dubious. 1000%. But honestly not shocking with how most stories with adult themes are.
Warnings for some Noncon and there is the age gap, however, as weird as it is, she’s also immortal so if twilight rules here.
It is pretty soft despite the other comments, again, could’ve been worse. Again if it’s not ur cup of tea, don’t read it, but solid 7/10 for a short story.
If you like to go into it blind, don’t.
Though I guess no use to warning that now, yes she does end up with the knight.
I don’t wanna be mean but this story was pretty slow and had no like… feeling to it? It had no substance.
No sauce.
No spices.
Like under seasoned meat.
It had potential but it felt like, “ oh no, they died. Oh well. On to the next plot point. They kissed! On to the next point.”
I will make this as non spoiler and non-long as possible.
First: To address the elephant in the room - it’s a good read if you can get past the AGE GAP, but major warning she is a child bride. The topic gets brought up often throughout the story so I would not read it if the topic makes you uncomfortable.
Second: i saw this brought up a lot so I’ll address it too - about the FL personality - not every person is going to repent ASAP. it’s nice to see a lead be bitchy and angry and upset about how her life went. If you kept reading you’d realize she CHANGES as the story goes on. She has CHARACTER GROWTH. So her strong personality does mellow out (a tiny bit) as she learns not to be in “survival” mode as much anymore.
Did it not say when she was 8 he was like 14? But then when she grows up she’s 15 and he’s not of age yet, what happened? What are their ages? It bothered me a lot…
Overall it was an ok story. I like protective family though I wish she wouldn’t have said anything about her past life until later. It felt odd that no one reacted a specific way. I guess what can you really do when they’re both from your body after all, but you’d think they’d be a little… idk more confused about the reincarnation?
