I own the full 3 volume omnibus of this series and the MC is based off the author. It's essentially a chronicle of all the terrible things she's done to her editors over the years. :)
The family can't still be resisting their relationship. If they are bonded, they literally can't be apart. It's permanent. Nothing to be done about it...
When a story starts to drag and stall it's because the writer is having trouble meeting their deadlines and is rushing. She needs to take a week or two off and get ahead of the story a bit.
Where is it dragging out or stalling? The pace is as it has always been. Or, heck, I'd say it's even speeding things up a bit lately!
I find this pacing to be very nice actually, especially the heavy introspective aspect of it. as far as I can tell the author has been pretty steady with the pacing and, as it seems from the raws, this isn't going to change drastically in the upcoming chapters either.
Bugs are not sexy...
But maybe there's a bug sex kink out there... I dunno.
People are allowed to not like things that you like. Stop complaining about people disliking a manga.
Also, a lot of the people who are bashing this manga are probably not even sure why they dislike it so much. Let's be real, a lot of yaoi features dark themes. I don't really think that's the problem... But this manga does have a fatal flaw. In every chapter it introduces a fascinating premise and then ends without a satisfying resolution.
The most basic unit of story structure is conflict > resolution. No conflict creates a boring story. No resolution creates an unsatisfying story. In these stories, conflict is created, the tension rises, and then at the height of that tension, just as the resolution should be about to start, the story stops.
In every chapter, the resolution is only a panel or two and we're left wondering what happened next..
Most people will intuitively dislike a story without a resolution. It leaves them feeling anxious without any idea why, so they assume that the reason they didn't like it was something within the story. But it's really something that was left out of the story.
