Okay so after reading a lot of yaoi (both great ones and repulsive ones) I come to wonder about this question. Basically I think that Yaoi/Shounen Ai depict idealistic stories that satisfy people's fantasies and their desire to temporarily escape this mundane world lol. Ok so I was rereading false memories, finished it, looked to my right (my eyesight was blurry from reading manga so long), saw a blurry big black thing, turned on the light and blinked a few times, and it was a huge spider .
