The problem is, you're seeking something that would be very hard to find in general. The Japanese scorn excess fat and obesity, it is seen as unhealthy and the body is treated like a temple. This is shown in the great lengths they go through in order to maximize their potential as a human being; physically and mentally.

It's not surprising as being chubby or overweight is less common in Japan than in western countries. Also, even in the west, the most desirable bodies are slimmer. It's only recently that countries like America have started to appreciate different body types and feature them more in media. reply
Usually the chubby characters are the ones that want to lose weigh or change their appearance. Because they were bullied and lack confidence in themselves. So when someone who they consider is way out of their league wants to date them. They starting doubting them and questioning why. They feel the need to change and get better. Yes, i feel the same way, and I'm very frustrated because all the chubby character's that I know, are chubby because they eat a lot, but that's not for everyone I know people that are like that for a condition or it's his/her body. Because they eat the half of what I eat...

I strongly believe that manga belongs to Japan culture and if artists prefer to draw thin characters it is their right to do so. I also think that where there’s demand, there’s supply, meaning people (especially in Japan) prefer to read about thin characters.
It is their art and for their people. 1 reply
Well when I found the manga and started reading, it was my first time reading a chubby girl is a herione in the manga, well I was not used to it yet and I didn't like that manga at all because the herione didn't lose her weight and still get the hot guy in the end and many people dislike me when I said that in the comment but I can't help it, all m...... reply
I AGREE!
I read pochamani which has a chubby female lead character and I think they represented her fairly well. She was first insecure but now she isn't because she feels confident and knows weight isn't everything (not cause she lost any of it).
BUT the male lead i didn't like. He was obviously the 'most attractive male' in the school and every g...... 3 reply
UUgghgh I know how you feel. I read a BL manga a while ago about a cute chubby boy who was in love with his thin friend and his friend eventually did fall for him, but the chubby boy had to crossdress for the friend to make a move and then they didn't even show a sex scene until later when the chubby boy had lost all his weight........

Personally mine is loneliness, isolation I suppose. The though of having no one to talk to or rely on terrifies me. I wouldn't be able to live without people being around me, people who I can make happy and vice versa. I never want to lose everybody I care for, I never want to see my loved ones faces or hear their voices anymore. I never want to be...... 1 reply
I have many fears, but the biggest fear I have is kind of like being forgotten, it's like you go into a room/space and there are people you know, but they aren't those people, they are something else, something worse. That's a recurring nightmare I often have.

To forget . I am scared that one day I won't be able to remember all my struggles, heartwarming moments, lies, people I love, books I read, chirping of birds . Even all horrible things that happened to me. They are a part of me . To me Amnesia is something that I don't want to experience ever .

I am incredibly afraid of being forgotten, or not being able to leave anything behind that has meaning. Oh, and dogs, cute from a distance, but, oh lord, don't come near me. reply
My schoolmates know that I like yaoi and they don't really mind it. And my dad knows too, I haven't told my mom yet because I'm pretty scared of what she will think. 1 reply
I only watched anime at first, then a while after I tried reading a manga but it was really boring to me.
Didn't try to read manga again until one of my online friends said I should give manga another chance so I did and I'm glad.

I'm scared of a lot of things and have a lot of irrational fears but I's say my biggest fear by far is having everyone I love disappear suddenly/being surrounded by a lot of people who hate me. ╥﹏╥ 2 reply
I started with only ever watching anime. For a good five years I ran through anime after anime and I think that puts me in a position where I can say that a LARGE majority of anime are not exactly "captivating" from just watching one episode. And since most anime are based off of manga I think it's safe to say that a large percentage of manga is th...... reply
A male friend borrowed my computer and I'd forgotten what my last tab was... So when he clicked on firefox it wasn't google he saw xD He tried to make me embarrassed and be like "Yaoi.... heeeeeee".
