I have been told that I always look angry before. Mostly though, it's just the set of my eyes and the shape of my brows. It's not because of my personality or anything. People just tend to say that I look pissed off, even when I'm not. Ever heard of resting bitch/dick face? My boyfriend likes to joke about that being the unofficial term for that ki...... 1 reply
I think both are important, in a sense. I picture the art as the style to tell a story. It should match the plot, because the images in comics are meant to convey something as well. The taste for the art is very personal, of course, but for me, as long as it portrays the story well and gives me the emotions it is supposed to, I'll go for it.

I have several 'pet peeves' concerning Yaoi tropes, but I guess my biggest are the rape = love tropes, and the seeming inability for otherwise rational adults to communicate with each other. I understand that there are cultural differences in Japan vs. the USA, as an example, in terms of communication style (not wanting to offend, not wishing to 'i...... 3 reply
I really wanna be a guy cuz girls have to be careful about many things.Like I cant be late home or have to be careful with guys....but I guess If I was a guy I ll definitely hate yaoi manga so Im alright with my gender(just for yaoi manga:) 1 reply
This is interesting question.. before i entered yaoi world i was unfamiliar with fetishes concepts. I thought fetish was just about leg fetish, arm fetish, some sort things like that. Then upon my discovery on yaoi world, i began to notice that there are some kind of unique fetishes that goes around. I never really realized that some kink were kind...... 1 reply
I always HATE gorey yaoi (not BARA but GORE like bloody HARD S&M), I love yaoi because two hot anime guys having sex = life, but I don't like seeing the hot anime guys hurt , well, soft S&M I enjoy, especially if the seme only does it to bully the uke.
FUCK SOME SHOTA BULLSHIT THAT CROSS THE LINE!!!
Well, I don't particularly hate shota (I love S...... 1 reply
mine are:
the rape=love trope; falling in love too quickly, like next chapter quick; when the seme likes to make the uke cry; the seme thinks everyone wants to date the uke and won't let him have friends; extremely possessive semes in general; girl looking ukes, not just a little feminine, like "could pass as a girl no problem" feminine (I came he...... 3 reply
-Cheating. Screwing other people while in a relationship. Its not too common but I wish I saw less of it.
-B*tchy girls annoy me, like i swear most girls in yaoi are portrayed like that or create dumb drama.
-Mental or Physical Abuse from any character: ex, boyfriend, seme or uke, parents etc.
-Breaking up when someone else tells them too. Rando...... 1 reply
I really don't like forced sex. Like when the seme is just way too over-possessive and accuses the uke of infidelity and then jumps them. Or when they blame literally everything on the uke. "It's all your fault because you're too cute. Oh, you said stop? No can do." Sound familiar? Unfortunately, this type of trope is very common in yaoi. reply
For the lack of communication pet peeve of yours that may work in K-dramas but it's just annoying in yaoi. My pet peeve however, is when main character of yaoi is drawn so girly (the uke at least, I love it when the seme is the cute smaller one). If I wanted to read about a girl's romance I would have read a shoujo manga. But it's not only that ohh...... 2 reply
yea being a girl is hella annoying because
-periods and all the shit that goes with it
-pregnancy scares
-shaving (and grooming in general)
-basically unattainable """ideal""" body type
-whatever you're wearing you'll be shamed/criticized for it
-however much makeup you're wearing you'll be shamed/criticized for it
-whoever and at whichever frequen...... 2 reply
STRAIGHT SHIT. I'm here for the yaoi, not for the hentai/ecchi(/shoujo tho it's way less disgusting, just sorta annoying). like. buhbye (︶︿︶)=凸
it's not like there's EVER yaoi in hentai, so why is the other way around acceptable?? ugh can't stand this double standard. way to ruin a yaoi
(i only read yaoi and yuri fyi. i don't like seein...... 4 reply
I hate the miscommunication which lives a giant mess but in some cases, it's okay depending plot. I also dislike in some yaoi they have sex way too early there not always a build up to it like okay they meet, talk than have sex. 2 reply
For me it's the women/girls that comes in between them
When the girls call out the guy just to tell him to stay away
Girls who think they have more right to be in love with a guy than another guy
Girls in general (even though I'm a girl)
Years of misunderstanding
Stupid reasons behind break ups
That's basically it 3 reply
Pretty much whole childhood I thought I was born in wrong sex. Until many years later I learn that there is variety of genders and you don't need to be just female or male - even if shitty society tries to put you into that box. After that I felt more free.
Also in away I always have lived between genders so mentally etc. I don't have hard time kn...... reply
Quite often, yeah! It'd be so much easier to seem charming as a guy, since when another girl does you a favor it doesn't seem like a big deal, but some people have this mentality like "OMIGOODNESS I CANT BELIEVE THIS MAN-HUMAN DID A NICE THING WHAT A DIAMOND HE MUST BE"
Maybe that doesn't make as much sense here as it did in my head... 3 reply
I think every person has their own liking to art, so it's stupid to go and ask that since many artist have their own unique styles of drawing. It's really just up to the reader if they like it or not. Anywho, I myself prefer great plot over great art (Though, it's really awesome if they have them both). 'Cause honestly. It wouldn't be fun at all to...... reply
I like Youji Katou from Harudaki. He's hot, popular, rich, kind, full of attention to his partner, faithfull, I have long lists for Katou. Eventhough he's sometimes impulsive and emotional but in the other hand he can support his partner emotionally.
But for high and mighty character, Iason from Ai no Kusabi is my favorite. 2 reply
'Things' are your daily life experiences by which you get to know the world around you. Tell others about the things you did, may it be cool, sad, crazy or funny. You can also find things that you might want to do and a friend to do it with!
